Ushio EmArc-lamps are comparable to metal halide lamps in luminous efficiency yet with 2 to 5 times life expectancy.

Short arc metal halide lamps, originally developed as light sources for LCD and DVD projectors, emit a well-balanced visible light spectrum.

EmArc-lamps are very efficient and provide good color rendering to reproduce vivid color images. The special design with a very concentrated light spot achieves a high efficiency in the projector's optical system.

EmArc enhanced metal arc lamps are also applied in the SSTV industry, featuring a well-balanced light output in a visible spectrum combined with high efficiency.

Ushio EmArc-lamps are particularly effective in reproducing natural colors.
